AUTHOR BIO:

Arnold Lobel (1933–1987) illustrated almost one hundred wonderful children’s books but is most beloved for his Frog and Toad stories. The four books have garnered much acclaim, including a Caldecott Honor and a Newbery Honor. Lobel was also awarded the prestigious Caldecott Medal for his book Fables in 1981.
