The second volume on the extraordinary life of Cher as told by Cher herself.
After more than seventy years of fighting to live her life on her own terms, Cher finally reveals her true story in intimate detail, in a two-part memoir.
In this, the second part of her memoirs, Cher continues the story begun in Volume One, beginning in the 1980s as she reinvented herself as an award-winning Hollywood actress beginning with her Oscar-nominated turn in Silkwood followed by roles in classics Mask, Witches of Eastwick, and ultimately winning the Academy Award for Best Actress in Moonstruck.
Reinvention would become a recurring theme for Cher as she navigated her way through Hollywood and the music industry in ways no other celebrity had been able to. At a time when women were unceremoniously kicked out or relegated to lesser roles at 40, Cher donned fishnets and recorded the indelible smash hit "If I Could Turn Back Time" and again at 50 with her record breaking song "Believe" which would go on to pioneer the autotuned sound of 90s/2000s pop.
Throughout it all she continued to face personal struggles and heartbreak head on, including the untimely death of Sonny Bono.
In volume one, Cher shared her road to celebrity; in volume two she shares how she cemented herself as an icon.
